I am presenting a fast paced Workshop- Local Government 101- with information on Missouri’s local government structures, elected v. appointed offices, and requirements, including campaign finance, to run for those offices; plus a primer on school boards and special taxing districts, including community college districts. This workshop will be useful to future candidates, campaign managers and volunteers, and anyone interested in better understanding how legislation and budgets are passed at local level and who does it.
