Rescheduled, Now Wednesday Meeting on Freeholders

citycountymap2The St. Louis City-County Board of Freeholders was created by citizen petition drive via Missouri Constitution Article VI, Section 30, may examine local government and boundaries, and may place changes in local government or boundaries, large or small, on City and County ballots.  The Freeholders are a post-Better Together local government reform opportunity governed by Missouri Constitution and Missouri transparency laws.

Meeting on Mayor Lyda Krewson’s Nominees to St. Louis City-County Board of Freeholders. This meeting has been called by 1st Ward Alderwoman Sharon Tyus, Vice Chair of the Committee, not Chair 4th Ward Alderman Sam Moore, who is in poor health.

It’s unclear what list of nominees the Committee is working with. Last list sent to Board of Aldermen  included JoAnn Williams, who has since asked that her name be withdrawn.

Members of the BOA Intergovernmental Affairs Committee include: Chair/4th Ward Alderman Sam Moore, Vice Chair/1st Ward Alderwoman Sharon Tyus, 2nd Ward Alderwoman Lisa Middlebrook, 9th Ward Alderman Dan Guenther, 21st Ward Alderman John Collins-Muhammad, 24th Ward Alderman Bret Narayan, 27th Ward Alderwoman Pam Boyd. Board President Lewis Reed is a voting member of all BOA committees.
